About KatherineKatherine Leak specialises in the sale of ‘pony club type’ ponies, Katherine has been buying and selling ponies since the age of 16 when she was still at school. Katherine sells up to 100 ponies a year and has probably the largest selection of ponies for sale in the North of England.Katherine is a qualified BHSAI and competed for a number of years on 13.2hh - 14.2hh ponies in affiliated showjumping. Katherine currently competes four horses at open level BSJA under training from top international showjumper Tim Stockdale. Katherine married former international showjumper Robert Shields and together they run a friendly and professional business buying / selling, teaching and riding horses/ponies. Using their combined 40 years of experience and knowledgeof horses, Katherine and Robert work together to select safe/sensible childrens ponies and quality horses. Katherine has a wide experience of dealing with children from as young as 4 years old and will give an honest assessment of a child and pony to ensure a successful rider and pony partnership. A number of novice ponies found and produced by Katherine have gone on to achieve success in BSJA showjumping including ‘Zeemax’, ‘Oscar de la Renta’, ‘Dinky Diva’ , 'Bubble Pop Electric' and many more. Katherine is available to ‘school’ ponies or horses either as preparation for sale or general improvement. Katherine welcomes calls from people with ponies to sell. Katherine purchases a number of ponies this way and is always happy to discuss this option. |
